‘Rosita’ is a Flemish women’s magazine that is the continuation of the women’s magazine ‘Goed Nieuws’ (also included in this website). The name change to ‘Rosita’, which was accompanied by a fairly drastic change in the layout happened in 1964. Rosita was a dominant player in the women’s magazine market in the late 1960s, not least for its photographic quirkiness. However, in 1970, the story came to an end and ‘Rosita’ merged into the other great ‘Libelle’. From then on, ‘Libelle’ was called ‘Libelle Rosita’. But this dual designation also disappeared afterwards. The content of the magazine is obviously tailored to a wide audience of women but still with its own style in terms of creativity. You can find articles on fashion, making your own clothes, movie stars, television, social problems, other cultures, body care, parenting, as well as regular sections such as letters from readers, television programmes and comics. An ideal magazine to indulge in vintage voyeurism.
